Meats By Linz is proud to feature high-quality Berkshire Pork.  Known also as the "Kurobuta" by the Japanese, the Berkshire hogs are prized for their tenderness and succulence.  This exceptional breed was introduced to the American market in the 1940's & 50's,  having originally been served to the British Royal family for generations (since the days of Oliver Cromwell).

The consistency and full flavor of the Berkshire has never diminished since its introduction to Americans.  To this day, all Berkshires are 100% Purebred (DNA verified). Production takes place on family-owned Midwest farms and the hogs are raised without steroids or growth substances.   In addition, the hogs' all-natural diet doesn't include animal by-products.  Each hog is hand-selected.

As a result of the attention paid to maintaining the high standards of the Berkshire, the cut of meat produced is exquisitely tender and naturally juicy. It's full of flavor and noteworthy for it's rich, deep color and superior marbling.
