Steakhouse Preferred Premium
Black Angus Beef
Meats By Linz is the exclusive provider of Steakhouse Preferred Black Angus Steaks & Chops. Building on the standards already established by our role as the sole Chicagoland distributor of Premium Gold Angus Beef, we offer this line of products as a further means of delivering a consistently superior product. What is Angus?
The name Angus, first and foremost, is of a special breed of cattle that’s recognized for producing amazingly flavorful cuts of meat. The breed, originally from Scotland, was first brought to the U.S. in the early 1870’s, when several bulls were brought to a fair in Kansas City. The offspring made a good enough impression on cattlemen that they imported more from Scotland and began forming purebred herds.
Chicago was where the breed benchmarks were set for America - the industry standard Black Angus was established there by the American Angus Association in the early 1880’s.
Premium Gold Angus
Meats By Linz is the Chicagoland area's exclusive provider of Premium Gold Angus Beef products. This industry standard was established by breeders several years ago and ensures top quality beef. Premium Gold Angus' Product Quality Control requirements are as follows:
- All cattle are fed a high-moisture, all vegetarian corn-based diet.
- Beef must be of "A" maturity (30 months of age or less at the time of slaughter)
- No cattle are accepted which display Brahman or Dairy influence
- Beef must be of bright red color
- Quarter inch trim is available at the customers request
Full of Flavor
Both the degree of the marbling and its overall texture is of exceptional quality in the Angus breed. For Steakhouse Preferred cuts, Meats By Linz takes pride in using only either USDA Prime or only the upper tier of the USDA Choice grade. It’s a big part of the reason why it’s preferred among consumers. Its meat is full of flavor and great on the grill.
Quality Care
To help ensure that great taste, the cattle used by Linz is grown only in the Upper Midwest, where they’re not exposed to temperature extremes and where they’re only given high-quality feed. The result is a bright-red beef that makes for an incredible steak or chop.
Once selected, our Steakhouse Preferred cuts are aged for a minimum of 28 days in our brand new, state-of-the-art coolers, and then hand-cut by our classically trained steak-cutters.
Try Linz Steakhouse Preferred Black Angus and you'll see why its the preferred choice among our prestigious clientele.
