Partner Spotlight: Myron’s Prime Steakhouse

December 12, 2025

Inspired by the vision of a classic yet elevated steakhouse experience, Myron’s Prime Steakhouse opened its first location in New Braunfels, Texas, in 2003. The restaurant found its home inside the historic Palace Movie Theatre, originally built in 1924. The space was transformed into an inviting prime steakhouse featuring pressed tin ceilings, custom light sconces, and intimate booths that embrace the building’s storied past. The result is a dining room that blends nostalgia, craftsmanship, and warm Texas hospitality.

After years of success, Myron’s expanded to a second location in San Antonio’s Alon Town Center in 2011. Larger in scale yet equally focused on detail, the San Antonio restaurant introduced new family members Patrick, Mary, and David to the operation, further strengthening the brand’s hallmark: a genuine family-run experience. Jo Anna and Jenny manage the financial side of the business, while Steve and granddaughter Ady help ensure guests receive the high-touch service Myron’s has become known for.

From the beginning, Myron’s has centered its concept on quality and consistency. All sides and desserts are prepared fresh daily, and many dishes have achieved cult status among regulars—including the Jalapeño Mac n Cheese, once described by a horse show announcer as nothing short of “life changing.” But it’s the steak program that defines Myron’s place among Texas’s premier dining destinations.

For more than 30 years, Myron’s partnered with the same meat purveyor, until the company was sold and the search for a new partner began. Fortunately, a visit from Meats by Linz sales representative, Kristen Gillette, came just weeks before the transition, giving Myron’s the opportunity to explore the Linz Heritage Angus program at the perfect time. Myron’s tested Linz Heritage Angus as nightly features, and guests immediately noticed the difference. The response was overwhelmingly positive, solidifying an effortless shift to Meats by Linz in October 2018.

The relationship has since become a cornerstone of the restaurant’s success. Known for premium genetics, exceptional marbling, and unmatched consistency, the Linz Heritage Angus program aligns seamlessly with Myron’s philosophy of quality and elevated craft. The 16 oz Linz Heritage Strip quickly became a house favorite—and Myron’s personal go-to cut—showcasing the depth of flavor and tenderness the program is known for.

Guest feedback further validates the partnership. Diners frequently share: “I travel all over the country and the world, and Myron’s beef is the best we’ve eaten anywhere.” It’s a sentiment that speaks not only to the quality of the product but to the stewardship, hospitality, and attention to detail that define the Myron’s experience.

Today, Myron’s continues to uphold the traditions that built its legacy: family, consistency, and a commitment to excellence. The partnership with Meats by Linz reflects those same values, making it a natural fit for a steakhouse that has spent decades perfecting the art of great beef.
