Andrew Nelson
Director of Quality
Andrew Nelson brings more than 20 years of military service and extensive food safety and quality expertise to Meats by Linz. A veteran of both the U.S. Navy (active duty) and U.S. Army (reserve), Andrew completed multiple overseas deployments during his distinguished military career, developing strong leadership, operational discipline, and a commitment to excellence.
Prior to joining Meats by Linz, Andrew served as Director of Quality for Agri Beef, where he led quality assurance initiatives across operations. He also worked as a subject matter expert for contracted U.S. Army food services throughout Europe, ensuring compliance, safety, and operational effectiveness across international programs. His experience includes implementing nationwide third-party Statistical Process Control (SPC) auditing programs with Walmart and serving as a Relief USDA Inspector across Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.
In his current role at Meats by Linz, Andrew focuses on strengthening and modernizing quality programs across receiving, inspection, import/export, and USDA food programs. His work supports the company’s continued growth and reinforces its commitment to best-in-class quality and regulatory excellence.
